Questions to Bring You Closer to Grandma & Grandpa is the third book in the series from Stuart Gustafson and Robyn Freedman Spizman. Because of the generation gap that exists between grandparents and grandchildren, the book takes a more creative approach to talking about grandparents and their favorite activities,as well as the types of questions to ask.

Grandparents are different than our parents, there's no question about that. Because of these differences, we need to know different things about them. The book includes a key section on The Importance of Learning More about Grandma and Grandpa. This section includes activities and questions under "What Grandma Enjoys to Keep Busy" and "What do you think of first when you think of Grandpa?" Most people will approach grandparents/grandchildren differently primarily because of the generation between them (the parents of the grandchildren!), and so they might rely more on email and telephone calls to ask and answer the questions. Here are some of the 100+ questions in the book:
- What do you think made our family special that you hope is carried on by the next generations?
- What are some things that my parents did while raising me that were different from the way that you
raised (Mom or Dad)?
- When did you first learn to drive? Who taught you how to drive? What was your first car?
- Do you recall how much a loaf of bread cost when you were a teenager? How much was a gallon of gas
when you first started to drive?
- Why do you think that marriages don't last as long as they used to?
- What changes have you seen in people in general about caring for others?
